Media reports that customers of five Polish banks must be aware of hacking when using e-banking systems.
Hackers have started using the virus captures logins and passwords which customers need to handle bank accounts. It is really dangerous for users, because virus spreads rapidly.
The data is stolen via fake website where "bank" offers to send security certificate. If customer allow the request, hackers keep messages with data necessary for money transfer.
Bank representatives remind that e-banking systems never ask user about telephone details, downloading security certificates etc. Police appeals to use the https:// protocols. Fake websites work without it - the URL starts with http:// (without letter "s" - secured). Also the browser does not show gold padlock icon in right down corner.
